Menu items not hovering on homepage

Hello,

I have a problem with my menu. I have installed Beaver Builder suite (plugin + theme), but never encountered this in the past.

I created a one-page website (offline as it is being created), when on the homepage, the menu items that link into different sections of the homepage don’t change color as I hover over them. However the “contact” item, which directs to a different page, works fine.

Worse: after I click on any of these homepage menu items (taking me to the corresponding section), then the menu functions normally and all items change color on hover…

Help anyone?
