# Menu items continuously “pending”

 * I have WP installed on my localhost and no matter what I do I cannot get the 
   menu to show, items are all listed as “pending.” Menu info says “Click Save Menu
   to make pending menu items public” but continues to revert to pending even after
   save. These are just pages, not even custom menus.
 * I have seen this topic come up and many fixes and rest assured I have tried all
   the ones I have seen. Here is what I have done in troubleshooting so far:
 * – Turned off all plugins (I am using the Mega Menu plugin here but even when 
   I turn it off completely the same thing happens in WordPress regular built in
   menu)
    – Repaired database using WordPress utility [http://mysite.com/wp-admin/maint/repair.php](http://mysite.com/wp-admin/maint/repair.php)–
   Switched to the default theme (will stay in pending in default theme and when
   I switch back) – Removed all menu items and recreated
 * These are all the fixes I have found so far. Can anyone else possibly tell what
   might be going on?

 * Also try:
    – Flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server
   and/or [browser caches](http://www.refreshyourcache.com/). Not just your browser,
   but any op cache or content network cache as well [such as Cloudflare](https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200169246-How-do-I-purge-my-cache-).

 * Thanks, none of these things worked but I did figure out what it was related 
   to a required plugin my coworker created. Not sure what code it was but when 
   I removed the mu-plugins folder from our wp-content the problem was solved. Only
   putting this here as an FYI for anyone going forward.
