    Hi,
I have two registered user groups. One group can only access general forum for public, the second group can access general and a private/specialist forum (Non registered uses can only read the general forum but can’t post, reply, etc.)

How can I hide the private/specialist forum from menu, so that the general registered users won’t even know it exists (as it is not intended for them, anyway).
so only the second group of registered users will see the menu item for private forum.

Tried with some plugins but they only have options to hide menu item for certain general user groups (participant, etc.)

depends on what you mean by ‘menu’ if you mean the forum list, then see

dapshboard>settings>private Groups>help for how to set up

Main menu of the website. And private forum link is an item in a sub-menu.

what appears in the main menu is up to you, you/your theme decides on menus, not my plugin 🙂

Of course, I didn’t mean the plugin can solve it. I just wondered if there is a solution (code snippet or something) to hide menu item for one of custom created user groups.

ok, so no code already existing, but is this menu item a link to a forum? or a page with a shortcode?

To like have an option to select which of the submenus are visible/hidden to which custom user groups…that would be great.

I’ve just released version 3.8.9 which will hide menu items the user should not see.

Let me know if this does what you want.

    I updated the plugin.
Where do I find these settings?
Looked in the Settings-private groups and in the Appearance-Menu, but can’t seem to see it.

There is no setting, if you are putting forum items in the menu, it should automatically hide any forums from users who are not allowed to see them

Yep, it does exactly what i need.
    Thank you!
