    Hi,
I installed Nextgen Gallery on my site, and it showed up fine.

However – in a rewamp of the site I removed some plugins temporarily, and after I reinstalled Nextgen Gallery nothing is shown in the menu (no Fallery item) nor in the editor (no green button).

I have checked via ftp to see if there were left-overs from the previous install, but none is left.

I have tried 5-10 times to get Nextgen Gallery reinstalled with no success. I have also tried to disable ALL other plugins – still no luck.

Any idea as to what could be the matter – I would love to go Pro – but not untill I can access the plugin 🙂

    Kind regards from Denmark

    /peter

@perfurt – I would suspect something in your process but I really cannot say what as it does not seem there was anything out of place.

All I can suggest at the moment (aside from starting over again) is to send us a Bug Report (http://nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/) so we can get our external Reset Tool plugin out to you … it may help but even so, I cannot guarantee any sort of success at this time.

    Thanks!

Thanks a lot, Cais – I’ve submitted the bug report – hopefully the Reset tool can solve the problem.

    Kind regards

It took 16 minutes since I wrote the above post – than I had the Reset tool in hand, which solved the problem!

Now, that’s support for you 🙂

    All the best

@perfurt – Thanks for the kind words and the feedback on the Reset Tool working for you!

    – Cais.

PS: Please feel free to leave a review, if you haven’t already, with your thoughts on the plugin et al. We would really appreciate it and thanks, again, Peter! ~C

I encounter the same issues. As an admin there is no menu and editor button in the backend of the system. As another user with lesser rigths the plugin is available.

I have already activated and deactivated plugin, as well as all other plugins. Nothing did help however.

At this moment I am unable to adjust setting, or even upload and insert galleries as an admin.
I have taken the liberty to use the report bug tool, but read that that was meant for Pro members. I use the free Nextgen Gallery.
    Sorry for the mix-up

    Thanking you in advance.

@myjoydy – I have responded to your Bug Report already, let’s keep your conversation there for the time being … or feel free to start a new topic.

    – Cais.

    Dear Cais,

Thank you for your quick response. The Reset Plugin just worked fine. As an admin I can manage all settings. Other users still have their own privileges.

    Thank you.
