[resolved] Menu is sticking, content is scrolling underneath (8 posts)

    I've gotten the stick menu to work on my site:
    http://stepaheadtech.com/kortrading.com/

    However, when you scroll down and the menu sticks, the content is scrolling underneath the menu, making it look very bad.

    This is the theme:

    Thanks!

    I should probably mention that this is my run-sticky.js file:

    jQuery(document).ready(function(){
      //
      //	DEFAULT
      //
      jQuery(".container-fluid").sticky({ topSpacing: 0 });
    });

    Just curious, it looks like your menu is floating in the right space.. mine is floating too high, I can just see the bottom of the menu bar when I scroll down..

    what did you change on your file?

    When I look at your site the menu floats properly for me, but it's hard to see. I had the same problem and changed the background color so it remains visible as you scroll down. You probably want to do the same thing.

    I feel this helped with the aesthetics of the menu:

    .menu-bar {
    border-bottom: 3px solid #4B90CC;
    box-shadow: 0 4px 2px -2px #EEE;
    }

    Add this to your Child Theme

    This may not be what you are looking for. I am not totally clear on how you would like the content to appear as the menu rolls over, please explain a bit more.

    The main problem right now is not the appearance (I was able to address that), but if I scroll down on the homepage there is a gap between the top of the browser window and the menu. Then if I scroll up and back down, that gap is gone. If I reposition the menu so the gap isn't there on first scroll, the menu is too far up and gets cut off if you scroll up and then back. Are you able to see that / reproduce it?

    Thanks!

    This worked for me:

    .header-logo-area .span8 .pull-right {margin-bottom:20px;}
    .menu-bar {margin-top:0px;}

    I am in Chrome, please let me know if that did the trick.
