# Menu Drop-Down Problem

 * Hi all.
 * The drop-down menu on my site is going horizontal instead of vertical for the
   sub categories under menu items for some reason.
 * Anyone know about this?

 * You’re going to have to dig into the CSS for the menu; something is missing/changed
   when you edited twentytwelve.
 * And, you’re using twentytwelve, but it’s not a child theme, so you will lose 
   your changes when you need to update the theme. See [Child Themes « WordPress Codex](http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes)

 * Had to get back on here as have tried everything to do with the CSS files and
   still not getting anywhere. Have looked at various online knowledge bases but
   still no good. Need someone who knows about these menus specifically.
