• Hi!
I’m using the Sydney theme to start my wordpress website, but the menu has disappeared from every page. I have the latest version of the theme, and made sure the menu location matches the menu name, but it’s still not visible 🙁 I don’t want to create a new header, just want to show the menu and logo.
Also when I create a new page, that page is not in the Sydney theme but completely blank.

Would be great if someone could help me out!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @dividendhero,

As inspected, I guess your theme’s header.php file has changed. See the original file here and compare it to yours that can be accessed from Appearance menu > Theme File Editor.

In case it has changed for some reasons, I’d recommend to re-install the theme.

    Hi @kharisblank,
Thanks for looking into this! I checked the .php file but it is exactly the same as the original. Do you have any other suggestions? 🙂

    Hi @dividendhero,

    Thank you for getting back.

I am wondering your site’s header was configured. I’d like to replicate it to troubleshoot it locally.

Can you provide your site header’s configuration in Appearance > Customize > Header > Main Header. Thanks in advance!

    Hi @dividendhero,

Upon further checking, you might be currently using Elementor header.

To verify this, try temporarily disabling Elementor plugin in private mode with the help of Health Check plugin. Clear cache and run your test.

    Hi @kharisblank,

Thanks again. If I disable Elementor the menu is back! However, if I activate Elementor again the menu disappears even though I do not have a header template selected in Elementor. Do you happen to know how I can get the menu back while having Elementor activated? 🙂

    Hi @kharisblank ,

I still have the issue with the menu and footer as well. Unfortunately we cannot use the website at all without the menu. Do you have another suggestion how to get the menu back? Otherwise we are thinking about starting over completely.

    Thanks again!
