yes, i tried to create the menu in that way as well. as there was already an english menu, i just created a turkish menu then on xili menu selection, i choose turkish menu for turkish. but there was only one option to choose. then i added some pages to this menu and set it as navigation menu (primary menu) but then english menu disappeared?
also after setting turkish menu from xili menu selection there was an error code writen under menu structure:
Warning: Unavailable menu with slug no-xl-menu = [en_us] ( 0 )
Main menu-TR = [tr_tr] ( main-menu-tr )
i also wrote to support on dashboard yesterday but no answer so far… please tell me what i am doing wrong?
Something seems not to be clean !
remember: you must have 3 menu structures
#1 – english menu
#2 – turkish menu
the two above must be NOT attached to a location of the theme
#3- multi menu containing menus selection insertion point (attach the 2 previous via the popups) and why not languages selection (switcher)
the #3 must be attached to the location
now i have three menus. inside multi menu i have only two items: menu list insertion point and lang switcher. and only this menu is checked as nav menu (primary menu). also under menu list insertion point this line is written:
Main Menu-Eng = [en_us] ( main-menu-eng )
Main menu-TR = [tr_tr] ( main-menu-tr )
but still the same problem continues 🙁 there is something wrong either with the site or with me….

do you think that something is wrong/missing with the theme? or maybe there is a conflict between the theme and plugin?
i switched to the theme twenty fourteen and the menu worked fine. so the problem is related to my theme but how can i know exactly what is it?
islander123, I had the same problem with a menu for the Russian language and Canvas theme. As a solution option, make sure you are using only ascii characters in the names of your menus.
