Menu Colour Code Confusion
-
Ok can someone advise me on what is going on with this theme. I have the following code to change the tab colour and the the line underneath the tabs also.
.themonic-nav li:hover {
background-color: #6AA121;
}
#searchsubmit {
background-color: #6AA121;
color: #6AA121;
}
.themonic-nav .current-menu-item > a,
.themonic-nav .current-menu-ancestor > a,
.themonic-nav .current_page_item > a,
.themonic-nav .current_page_ancestor > a {
background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #6AA121;
font-weight: bold;I had everything in custom css pluggin and the colour changed when on a tab, but didn’t change the line underneath the tabs. Then i was given a code to change that, the code is:
.themonic-nav ul.nav-menu, .themonic-nav div.nav-menu > ul {
border-bottom-color: #6AA121};But when i added it to the css it didnt work but when i added it to the themes custom css section it worked..
But here is the very confusing part… after i had all the tabs and the line underneath the way i wanted i tried to add another code to change something else and it reverted all the changes. Even when i removed the code i had added the tabs wont go back to the colour i had them!
Very frustrating i have to say so can anyone tell me why this is happening?

Maybe that’s a symptom of a syntax error.
Can you link us to the issue?
The site is http://legalfatburners.com. I can privately give you log in details if you like. The sidebar isn’t showing on any of my post either just on my pages, and i cant figure out the reason for this either.

Which Custom CSS plugin are you using? I’ve checked your webpage’s source code and there’s no reference to a CSS plugin that I can find.
‘Simple Custom CSS’ is the pluggin i am using. I read here on the support forum that i needed it to add my header on the site and it worked perfectly.
Can you add this CSS into it just so I can identify where it is:
body { border: 10px solid red !important; }
Added 😉
Thanks you can remove it now
Hmm funky, did you copy this code from Word (Microsoft)?
Copy it out of your Custom CSS plugin and paste it into Notepad, then copy it out of Notepad and put it back into your Custom CSS
No i copied and pasted it directly from the forum here. I have tried it and the tabs have now changed colour except for the line underneath which has remained blue.
Where’s the code that’s supposed to change the border?
http://legalfatburners.com/?sccss=1&ver=3.9.1That’s the only codes i have found on the forum.
I’m saying it’s not in your Custom CSS: http://legalfatburners.com/?sccss=1&ver=3.9.1
Maybe when you removed it and put it into your parent’s CSS file you forgot to move it back to your Custom CSS?
Edit: Sorry I see it now, it IS in your Custom CSS file my bad.
