• Hello,

Sorry if this is simple but I can’t work it out! I have a menu that consists of links to pages, and one drop down menu I’ve created from making a category. However, the category in the menu is still clickable, and just links to a page that says “Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here”. I don’t want this to be clickable, simply a title to hover over for the drop down. How can I do this?

    Thanks you

  • So you’re saying you want drop down items that aren’t clickable, but simply have text / hover text?

I just tested this on my site, and I was able to create a menu item using “links”. It wouldn’t allow me to add an item without a url (any text in the url field technically), but I was able to remove that text by editing the item once on the menu. So simply create the item with some text in the url field, edit the menu item, and give it a “Navigation Text” (what it’ll say), and “Title Attribute” (the hover text).

The above appeared to work for me, let me know if it does for you.

Thank you, that has worked perfectly! For the record it wasn’t items in the drop down menu that i wanted to not be clickable, but the item in the main menu that drops down when hovered over. Have a look if you’re confused, I didn’t want ‘Our Program’ to be clickable as there’s not going to be a corresponding page. But anyway, it works. Thanks a lot!
