# Menu Category Description

 * Hi,
 * What’s the recommended method to remove the description from the menu dropdowns
   when a category has a description?
 * I’ve tried the code (below) into the style.css file of my -child template but
   no luck doing it this way.
 *     ```
       .nav-content {
           display: none !important;
       }
       ```
   
 * Is it better to add CSS via Appearance > Customize > Custom CSS/JS? I’d of thought
   the best practice would be via child themes styles.css?

 * Yes, You can add the above CSS and It should work.
    Another way is you can Go
   to Appearance > Menu, click on the menu items and remove the description.
 * If you are facing any issues with it, kindly share the website URL to check the
   issue.
