    Hi,

    sometimes the Jetpack menu link “Backup and Scans” is displayed in my menu – and sometimes not.

    Is this a bug?

    Hi Michael,

    I don’t see any issues with the Jetpack connection on your site so everything should be working as expected.
    Just to be sure we’re talking about the same thing, is this the menu that sometimes does not appear on your end?

    This may be a plugin or theme conflict. As a first step, please try temporarily disabling all plugins. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

    To make it easier, you can install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

    Yes, when I open my site the menu under Jetpack shows me the “Backup and Scans” option. When I refresh the page (see the right image on the screenshot) the “Backup and Scans” menu item dissapears.

    This happens every time when I open my site.

    That’s very odd, I wonder if it’s language-specific.

    Does the problem continue when switched to English at Settings > General in your Dashboard?

    Hi,

    why should the “Backup & Scans” menu entry a problem of the language? It´s a premium feature of Jetpack – independent of the language, or?

    I’m not able to replicate it on my end either. Can you please switch your language to English as @macmanx suggested and see if that menu item goes away?

    I have switched my language to english now. But the menu item is still there. Please see the screenshot.

    So why do I see this menu item when I just have a basic Jetpack plan?

    Hi,

    is there any update for this problem? I still can see the “Backup” item in my Jetpack Menu 🙁

    Can you please deactivate this function/feature for my site?
