I have created a child theme of Twenty Twenty-Three using the Create Block Theme plugin. However, the menu and site logo are missing from all posts and pages in my child theme. How can I resolve this?

Hi @ronaldlips if you go to Appearance > Site Editor > Open Template is the logo and menu missing there as well?

Are you able to share a link to your site?

Please feel free to take a screenshot of what you see, you can add it to https://snipboard.io/ and share the link here.

    Hi @telmachido,

When I go to Appearance->Site Editor, the menu and site logo are both there. When I run the page, though, they are not present.

The site itself is http://www.pixelsandfilm.com. I have disabled the child theme currently, as it breaks the site.

    Looking forward to your reaction,

    thanks,
    Ronald

Hi @ronaldlips – thanks for adding the link and screenshot. I don’t have access to the screenshot, is it possible for you to change the sharing settings to be viewable by anyone with the link?

I’m currently seeing the logo and menu throughout your site. Did you get this issue sorted, or do you still need help?

    Hi Kathryn,

Thanks for your reply. I have changed the access rights for the image link in the previous post. You should have access now.

The issue has not been solved yet, but I reverted to the original theme, as the child theme breaks my site.

    Any help is much appreciated,

    Thanks
    Ronald

Thanks! Could you please go into your child theme’s templates, such as Page, Single, and Home, open up List View on each of them, and provide screenshots of the entire editor, so I can see what they look like?

Have you created any custom templates in the Site Editor as well?

Oh one more question: could you tell me more about what you need a child theme for? Sometimes folks think they need one, when in fact they don’t, so just wanted to get a better sense from that angle. 🙂 Thanks!
