# Menu 500 Internal Server Error

 * A while back I encountered a major error that I have yet to resolve. Whenever
   I try to go to modify my menu for my site vansauto.mobi/new : (Apperance: Menus)
   It goes to the Internal server error page:
 * _Internal Server Error_
 * The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to
   complete your request.
 * Please contact the server administrator, [webmaster@vansauto.mobi](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/menu-500-internal-server-error/webmaster@vansauto.mobi?output_format=md)
   and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done
   that may have caused the error.
 * More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
 * Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument
   to handle the request.
 * I am using the Storefront Elegance theme, however I went back to the raindrops
   theme that I had before and it still gives me the error. I am not sure what caused
   this but I need help resolving this issues because I need to majorly edit edit
   the navigation on my menu. I am new to wordpress but I have tried everything.

 * – To rule out any theme-specific issue, try switching to the unedited default**
   Twenty Twelve theme **for a moment using the WP dashboard. If you don’t have 
   access to your admin area, you can switch to the default theme by renaming your
   current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the
   folder name using via FTP or SFTP or whatever file management application your
   host provides.

 * I just tried the 2012 theme and I am an admin and it did NOT Work. Any other 
   suggestions. Also thank you for responding I do appreciate it.

 * Try checking your site’s error logs for a more specific error message. Your hosts
   should be able to help you in accessing your site’s error logs.

 * [http://vansauto.mobi/new/](http://vansauto.mobi/new/) It’s through the storefront
   elegance theme, via wordpress. I am not sure what we use for a host I emailed
   the guy to find out who we use for a hosting site.
