 * The Ample theme menu defaults to published pages but I can’t for the life of 
   me find where the menu order can be changed. Any suggestions?

 * You can go to the **Appearance > Menus** and rearrange the menu and set the location
   to **Primary Menu**. Click on **Save Menu** and reload the page.
