The friend and page mentioning feature is only enabled when your app has successfully set up an Open Graph action and toggled the Open Graph checkbox in publisher settings.
When you ask for the “tags” capability as part of your action submission process you are enabling friend and page tagging on the text your WordPress site submits to Facebook.
Niall, my Open Graph action was submitted and successfully approved. When I submitted my action for review I made sure to include tags. The Open Graph checkbox is also checked in the publisher settings.
This is why I am resorting to posting on the support forum because I’ve gone through all the steps, and yet it still isn’t working.
NIall, I’ve been trying that, and it still doesn’t work. When I get to step 3 and type in the @ symbol results don’t come up! For example, I attempted to mention my Facebook page Lovely Geek and nothing is coming up. See my screenshot: http://www.lovelygeek.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/Screen-Shot-2013-10-13-at-9.09.17-AM.png
Would also like to note I tried typing in different friends’ names and names of pages. Nothing comes up!
Mention tagging is an Open Graph feature. Open Graph publishing is only available when you publish to your Facebook user account, not your Facebook page account.
