# Memory Size Exhausted

 * My Site isn’t working anymore. It shows the following error
 * Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate
   131072 bytes) in /home/american/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1449
 * PHP.ini has memory limit 256M
    even tried editing wp-config.php to 256 M
 * No success.

 * It could be theme related because I had that issue when I installed one the other
   day. If you have FTP access you can rename that theme that way WordPress reverts
   back to the default theme.
