# Memcached (php5-memcached) – cache plugin

 * Because it’s not possible to override or add different cache support to W3 Total
   Cache I had to go ahead and create my own implementation of Memcached in W3 Total
   Cache. Not much had to change to utilise php5-memcached but it means that every
   upgrade will be a pain.
 * Can you either support pluggable caches or make it support php5-memcache and 
   php5-memcached out of the box please?
