 * Do you maybe know what would be a temporary solution? Is there a compatible plugin
   that I can use in the mean time, alongside the WP-Optimize plugin?

   plugin but you can search it on WordPress.og plugins site for Memcached plugin
   and check if it works with WP-Optimize.
