# MEMCACHED

 * Hello how are you?
 * I just followed these steps and installed Memcached:

 * Enabled everything ok in the litespeed cache plugin:

 * **two questions emerged:**
 * 1 – in the same back-end using all the settings left the back end very slow, 
   see, before activating: 1s – 900ms
    after activating: 7s – 9s, see: [https://d.pr/free/v/pnqAdV](https://d.pr/free/v/pnqAdV)
 * 2 – on the front end did not notice any difference, is this normal?

 * Could you please try enable **Store Transients** and/or **Cache Wp-Admin** and
   see how that goes ?

 * But on the front end, I honestly did not notice a big difference …
 * Is there anything I can do internally? or something?
 * Do you think REDIS will work better? Helping in performance …..

 * No , Redis wont’ make much different.
 * A quote from WP codex:
 * > WP_Object_Cache is WordPress’ class for caching data which may be computationally
   > expensive to regenerate, such as the result of complex database queries.
 * It’s normal that you don’t see noticeable improvement unless your site is mysql-
   heavy.
