  • which browser are you using?

    Thread Starter suli.kok

    Im using google chrome.

I’m having the same problem but on all three browsers on which I am testing, Safari 8.0, Firefox 33.1.1 and Chrome 39.0.2171.95…

    1. do you have any subdomain?
    2. are you using ssl on some of the pages?

I’m having the same problem on the browsers:
    Chrome 39.0.2171.99 m
    Firefox 35.0.1
    Internet Explorer 11

    No subdomain
    No SSL

Is there a shortcode or something to put a log out link or button?

simple membership uses cookie to manage user session. so closing browser should log user out.

apart from that, you can create logout link by appending “?swpm-logout=true” to your site address.

for example, if you site url home is “example.com” then logout link should be:

    example.com?swpm-logout=true

    IMPORTANT
I installed your plugin and was setting it up. I wanted to change all of my existing members (after importing them with your import plugin) to a silver lever. I had checked to maintain current roles, however it changed my admin role to silver as well and now I have no admin rights. I really hope you can get me in a back door somehow. I can’t manage my site currently and it is an e-commerce site. HELP PLEASE ASAP

    Important continued.

I tried disabling the plugin in my C-panel but the damage is done. It made no difference. I’m using Chrome if that makes a difference and the latest version of WP.

I logged in through filezilla under what directory do I find the themes function.php

    is it public_html/wp_content/themes/Hueman/functions …
I;m not sure where to go after that

Thanks for getting back to me.Bruce

i tried it in the location shown above but it wants a password to login

I did as you suggested but still can’t get in. Any other ideas?

Thank you so much for all of your efforts. I am finally back in as admin.

Your plugin does work well as long as your careful importing users.

I would like to see a widget that could be placed in the sidebar showing the customers avatar, status and a log-out link is this possible?

Add the standard login shortcode to the sidebar of your site (using a “Text” widget).

Thank you. I did find it on your blog after posting this request. Cheers
