# Members Lost

 * Our client updated the plugin to Membership too but she lost all the old members
   that were recorded previous to the update. Is there a way to retrieve the old
   entries? If not we would like to restore the old version to be able to access
   them. Thanks!

 * Hope you’re well today 🙂
 * Are you referring to upgrading from old version of Membership to Membership 2?
 * If this is the case then there is an import tool that we’ve added to Membership
   2 where you can import everything you’ve had in the old version of the plugin(
   members and their subscriptions/levels) but protection rules have to be setup
   again as the plugin has been completely rewritten to the new better version.
 * If this is the case you can check Membership 2 -> Settings -> Import Tool.
