Members area on site

Hi All,

I am looking for a plugin that will allow people to become a member of my website. so on my homepage it will say something like ‘write for us’ / become a member and they click the link and can then join.. is there such a thing?

Becoming a member would then mean they could submit posts and I want them to be able to set up their own profiles.

Does anybody know what would allow me to do this?
