Memberpress TOTP

Hello, I’m using member press which puts in a nice “Two Factor Authentication” right on a user’s account page. However, what I’ve found is that when a member enters the TOTP code validation, it doesn’t save the code. I was told that I must activate it on the backend, but that seems strange.

Is this normal? Email Authentication and Backup Verification Codes work just fine with no further assistance from an ADMIN. It’s just the TOTP that says it “saved the information” but didn’t actually save anything and generates a new QR code for them to validate again, and again, and again…
