• Hi,

I’m having a hard time finding a plugin which will generate a list of site users (registered authors) with additional user fields, including photos. Ideally it’d be searchable, sortable, and link to member profile pages. And I’d like it visible to members only.

So far this seems to mean many, many plugins, none of which really play with each other all that well. Does anyone know of something which meets some or most of these needs?

    Here are the needs:

1 – Ability to add additional fields to “edit user” admin page, including upload photo and address/phone fields.
2 – On the site, display list of all users including snippet of their bio, thumbnail photo, phone, email. Sort by last name or first name. Link each user to their…
3 – Member profile page/posts, where all the user info is available
4 – Restrict access to member list and member profiles based on user level. Ideally if a user of the correct level is logged in they’ll see the member list in the left nav and member info will be returned in general site searches.
5 – Pie-in-the-sky, I’d like an admin page which lists all the users and allows admins to execute mass commands, for instance check a number of users and mark them all as “dues paid this date”.

Thanks for any help out there!

    Michelle

Shouldn’t this be a part of the wordpress core? These features would be so so so useful.

I just posted this video tutorial on how I used UserExtra and Page Authors 2.0 code to get a roster/directory such as this.

    mmcginnis,

did u ever find a solution?

I too have been looking for a solution that will do this. likoma, I have watched your video tutorial several times, but it only skims over doing this. You mentioned that you found some code, but never said where to implement it. I tried doing a cut and paste and the only thing that showed up was the page title. Any help from anyone on how to go about doing this would be appreciated.

    Thank you

Thanks to this post, I got it sorted LastName, FirstName.

Kahil: I’ll get a video and/or some more detailed help about how I got this working. It is a bit confusing, I admit.
