• Can’t comment on how well/badly this plugin works over time as I’ve only just installed it – but the installation/registration process wasn’t especially user-friendly.
Facebook rejected the supplied cut/paste registration code, so that was a bust. And having ‘joined’ this site, found my username/pw didn’t work. So ‘joined’ again with new user name/pw and found I was then prompted to add the first set of details before I could post on this forum. Even then, the original pw wasn’t recognised and had to be changed.
And though I was reasonably OK with adding my preferences to the set-up form, would have been helpful/reassuring to have little ‘info buttons’ alongside the multiple-choice tabs to fully explain the options open to you.
I’m assuming the basic free plugin only allows one link to a single social networking site. No way of knowing/explanation as to whether the same Twitter 140 character set-up is applied to FBook and LinkedIn; or tailored to fit; or what. So think I’ll pass on spending more for this dubious privilege.
One final point. The recycling of old posts is a really good idea. But on the basis of a frustrating morning getting it up/running, need convincing this is the ideal plugin to make it happen.

    Hello Vf2,

If I am right, you’re mostly complaining about how hard it is to register on wordpress.org . That has nothing to do with our plugin.
We’re working on better documentation for creating apps on Facebook and Linkedin, currently we only have a quick guide on every social media network, but if you follow each step closely it will work.

    Regards,
    Marius

Nope…you’re not right. No mention in my post anywhere about WP.org. As the first two lines of my post make reasonably clear, I was in fact having a moan about the difficulties I experienced in getting this particular plugin up/running on WP. Nothing whatsoever to do with WP.org

If the first 2 lines are about our plugin, what are the other ones about? I honestly did not understand what issues you’ve had. Is it with our forum?

As for the plugin, there are steps shown for each social media network, it there’s something complicated about creating Apps on Facebook/LinkedIn it has nothing to do with us. A video guide wouldn’t be really helpful, Facebook (for example) has changed their dashboard very often in the past few years, it’s completely different than how it used to be.

Also, in our next update we’ll split all these networks, so you can customize different posting options for each network, it’ll be a lot more explicit and customizable. Thank you for your feedback!

Welcome to the real world, where not everyone thinks you’re wonderful and gives you 5 stars. If you genuinely don’t understand my original post, not a lot I can do really except sigh.
