• The first media plugin I used in combination with BuddyPress was rtMedia, since it had more active installs. After spending several weeks trying to iron out the various issues with rtMedia, some of which could be resolved but some that could not be resolved, I decided to try MediaPress. After some customisation I soon realised that I had made the right decision. For my needs, MediaPress is the better media solution of the two plugins that I had tried.

MediaPress is very flexible. Customising MediaPress is easy, with a simple-to-use template system that you can add your own things to.

Also, the support given is excellent. The plugin author, Brajesh, is very helpful and gives a great level of support.

I highly recommend using MediaPress to handle media within a BuddyPress site.
