media uploader shows broswer

    Hi there
    I have just done a clean install and my media uploader thickbox shows the broswer not the media uploader.

    This happens using twenty ten as well as the theme i was planning to use.

    As mentioned i did a totally clean install on a new cpanel database as before the uploader worked on twentyten and not on the theme i had chosen.
    When i did the clean install it didnt work on twenten either.

    Am using 777 for all permissions as well.

    Any ideas gratefully received.
    Will using an older version of wordpress help?

    apologies think this is a theme issue it now works on twentyten and not on the theme i am using – apparently it may be due to their special admin bar
