Support » Plugin: The Events Calendar » Media Upload button not working javascript error

  • II get this error in the chrome console when I click “Upload Media” or “Set Featured Image”. I thought THIS might have something to do with it?

I am running WP3.5.1 and The Events Calendar version 2.0.11. I dont have the issue when running these locally,

    This is the error:

Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token ILLEGAL load-scripts.php,qc=0,aload,P5B,P5D=admin-bar,,hoverIntent,,common,,schedule,,wp-ajax-response,,autosave,,suggest,,jquery-color,,wp-lists,,jquery-ui-core,,jquery-ui-widget,,jq,aload,P5B,P5D=uery-ui-mouse,,jquery-ui-sortable,,postbox,,post,,thickbox,,underscore,,shortcode,,backbone,,media-models,,wp-plupload,,media-views,,media-,aload,P5B,P5D=editor,,jquery-ui-datepicker,,jquery-ui-resizable,,jquery-ui-draggable,,jquery-ui-button,,jquery-ui-position,,jquery-ui-dialog,,word-co,aload,P5B,P5D=unt,,editor,,quicktags,,wpdialogs,,wplink,,wpdialogs-popup,,wp-fullscreen,,media-upload,

Any assistance would be HUGELY appreciated.

  • Hello,
Do you have any recommendations for this issue?

I can’t use the image upload of 3.5.1 neither. It is as if the panel isn’t active, nevertheless the upload directory has writing properties.
I also remember that after the update I didn’t have to do an update of the database as I usually have to do. This for firefox.

In IE I get a popup: “out of memory at line 2”.

Does anybody know where I change this and how?

Hi guys. Thanks for the reports here, and sorry that I’ve taken some time to get you a response. This is very odd – since I’m running in pretty much the exact same scenario as you both are and I can upload both images to the media library and attach featured images.

Hoore, does your problem also related to The Events Calendar? Or is this a byproduct of the broader 3.5.1 and impacting your site across the board? I read it as the latter, but let me know if I’m wrong there.

My main guess here is that there’s either another plugin or the theme impacting things, due to running a different version of Jquery. Could that be possible in either of your situations?
