    Hello,
We have a question. Is this a good plugin for our site ?

We have 1000+ images, 25 videos, 100s of documents, soundfiles and podcasts that need to be searchable.

We would like to be able to tag and search items in the WP media library.

We are just getting started with WP.

    Thanks !

Thanks for your question, and welcome to WordPress.

Some of MLA’s most popular features are its support for using taxonomies and assigning terms to filter Media Library items for admin-mode analysis and front end gallery display. You can use MLA’s Att. Categories and Att. tags for this or use any other taxonomy defined for your site. Here is an earlier support topic that provides more information and links to several other topics about taxonomies and Media Library items:

Why are there two Categories sections?

I am confident that MLA can help you “tag and search items in the WP media library.” On the site’s front end you can use the [mla_tag_cloud] and [mla+term_list] shortcodes in combination with the [mla_gallery] shortcode to filter and display items. You can also use the Keyword Search and Term Search features to match words and phrases entered by a user to items as well.

I am marking this topic resolved, but please update it if you have any problems or further questions regarding the material in the earlier topics. Thanks for your interest in the plugin.
