Media (MP3) won't play on site

Long Preface:

Before anyone links me to any other thread about the MediaElements.js player (which is being implemented in the WordPress core) or Haiku player, let me assure you I’ve tried all of the above and for whatever reason I’m not able to get mp3 to play anywhere. [Actually not as long as I thought]

Currently I have Haiku player on each of my posts for a podcast, and for whatever reason, it finds the file but doesn’t play. I don’t know if it’s a host/backend problem or a simple fix I’m over looking but I genuinely need help. I used the Media upload tool to have them in a library that WP understands, but still no results. Please help.
