I had the same problem recently… new install, images uploaded fine, but when I went to view the Media Library, I got a blank page.
Error logs showed:
“PHP Warning: require_once([server_path]/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-media-list-table.php)” and “No such file or directory in [server_path]/wp-admin/includes/list-table.php on line 42”.
I figured something got corrupted or was missing and re-uploaded “wp-admin” and “wp-includes” folders (but not wp-content) and that fixed it.
Hope that does it for you.
I’m finding myself having the same problem. I just downloaded a fresh version of WP 3.5.1 and replaced my hosted sites “wp-admin” and “wp-includes” and it’s still not working. I also tried using the old browser upload vs. multiFile uploader and still no luck.
@bemsser– did you ever figure it out?
bump – I’m only getting the 1st 40 images of 120 when trying to Add an Image. I have another nearly identical site installed on the same server and all the images show up fine.
WP 3.5.1 – From the dashboard when I view the media library, all images show up. It’s only when i try and Add an Image I see the partial library of 40 images.
Guys if I tell you what happened to me you will laugh.
I had the same problem with media library, suddenly all images were lost.
I couldn’t put a simple image in a post and I couldn’t upload via wp-uploader.
All images and image uploading was disabled.
What happened? I opened my theme’s functions.php and I started debugging line by line.
I deleted everything that I had in functions.php and everything worked again!
The problem was that I had by accident two extra line spaces after the end of php tag “?>”
