Media Library Hell

  • I have an image 400 x 600.
    I upload it ADD NEW
In the preview window it looks normal
when I edit it (THIS IS WHERE ALL GOES TO HELL)

the image is 400×600 but the DISPLAYED version is 400 x 226? So all I see is 1/3 of the image centered in the middle.

I have changed all of the Media Settings. I still get ALL images at this number 400×226 I can’t create new thumbnails because it won’t display the original image just a portion of it… WHY is this happening? why is the Media Library Edit Image stuck at 400 x 226 ?

    Anyone?

Unless you provide a link to a page demonstrating the problem, no one will be able to offer much in the way of assistance.

Disable all your plugins and see if the problem still exists. Make sure to test with fresh images too. If the problem persists with all plugins disabled, switch to the default theme and see if the problem is with your theme.

Those steps will quickly narrow down the issue.

A screenshot is of no use. What might help is a link to a page demonstrating the problem.

Oh man Esmi, you are a piece of work.. LOOK at the screenshot. THAT IS THE PROBLEM. You can’t work with an image in the Media Library if the MAIN image in the edit area is cut off…. thus you CAN’T make proper thumbnails… do you see the red lines with the “?” where is the rest of the image.

Jackson, unfortunately, I’ve tried that. I may have to do it again and see.
