    Hi Alan,
I have applied the latest update of MaxGalleria and then activated ML+

I like the idea of folders to upload categories of images to, rather than having to plough through the images in the WP library.

I did bulk uploads of the images into each of the folders as this is quicker that 1 image at a time. The images are .png format.

I can see all of the images are where they should be in CPanel, but when i try to view them in ML+ it says there are no images. Is there a problem with .png, or is it something else i have done?

    Regards,
    John.

    Hi Flexiscreens,

ML+ is not like a file manger on your disk drive that reads all the files when you view a folder. Just like with the WordPress media library, it stores the files and their locations in the database. So images have to be properly uploaded through the ML+ page for them to be added to the database. But this can be done quickly. Just navigate to the destination folder in ML+ and click on the Add New button to reveal the upload area where you can drag and drop multiple images at one time to be uploaded and added to the database.

Since you have already uploaded the images you could simply do a rescan of your uploads by going to Gallery -> Settings. Click ‘Media Library’. Uncheck “Activate Media Library’ and click ‘Save Settings’ Wait for the page to refresh and then check both ‘Activate Media Library’ and ‘Clear and rescan folders:’ then click ‘Save Settings’. Then wait while it scans your uploads folder.

Sorry, I misspoke about rescanning the folders. I have to check on what is happen there. You may need to reupload you images through the ML+ to get them into the database.

Ok, the rescan only looks at what is in the database and does not check for new images on the server. The the database will only know about any new folders if you create the folders through ML+ or click the Add New Folders item in the Media Library Plus menu.

It would be great to be able to scan folders and add images automatically to the database. That’s the one thing NextGen has over MaxGalleria.

Is it feasible to add this feature in the future? I have around 6gb of images that I rather just bulk upload to the server and have the plugin scan and add.

    Hi Alan,

Thank you for your responses. Sorry for the delay getting back to you, Time Zone differences! UTC+10 here.

I have just applied the 4.12 update this morning.

I did create the folders with ML+ but it does not have a multi file upload option like the WP. Any chance of adding this to a later version?

In the meantime, I will upload individually, because i prefer this as a file management tool.

Thanks for your help and a great plugin!
    Cheers,
    John.

I created a short video demonstrating how to upload multiple images at once to Media Library Plus: http://screencast.com/t/omaMQRAf

    Hi Alan,

    Sorry,

It does not seem to work for Microsoft Edge, but does work with Google Chrome. System is Windows 10.

    Cheers,
    John.

Ok, thank you John. This is probably a javascript problem. I’ll look into it.
