• Hello Paul,
    Media Tags is VERY usefull plugin.

    Nevertheless, WP still has very stupid Media Library “search filter” in it’s core. What do you think about these ideas for next functions in Media Library page and the pop-up window in Page/Post (inserting attachments):

    – select box “Sort by: Date / Filename / ID / Title ….”
    – select box “Sort: ASC / DSC”
    – fulltext “Search media” capable searching through filenames, not only attachments’ Titles

    Cheers, joo-joo

  • I think what joo-joo is saying is that it would be nice if the Media Tags were searchable in the general Media Library.

    If so will that ever be possible?

    I understand that you can see them filtered in the Media Tags backend area but wanting to be able to do that in the Media Library.

    @joo-joo, @ohia,

    Sorry for not responding earlier. I’m finally getting back to some of these support threads.

    I like your ideas. Unfortunately the search on the Media > Library screen is pretty much owned by WordPress and there does not appear to be many options for plugins to hook into that search. I was able to get the Media-Tags column added to the Library listing as well as the dropdown allowing for filtering. That is pretty much the limit at the moment.
