Whenever I have activated this plugin, I can’t able to add categories and tags because it shows admin-ajax.php 403 forbidden.

    Can you help me?

    Thanks

Thanks for your report. I regret the trouble you’re having with creating terms.

If you can answer a few questions I can be more helpful:

    1. Which taxonomies are you using, e.g., the WordPress Categories and Tags or the MLA Att. Categories and Att. Tags?
    2. Which screen(s) are you using to create terms, e.g., the Media/Att. Categories “Edit Taxonomy” admin submenu, the “Add Media” popup window or something else?
    3. What role is assigned to the WordPress user account used for creating terms, e.g., “Administrator”, “Subscriber” or something else?

Thanks for any additional information you can give me.

    Hi, David,

    Thanks for your response.
    1. I’m using WordPress categories and Tags, which I can’t able to add new and edit existing one.
    2. I’m using WordPress default categories and tags screen to edit/add those.
    3. I’m using Administrator account

Here is the screenshot, that I get while adding/editing categories

Thanks for your update with the answers to my questions and the screen shot; very helpful.

I cannot reproduce your problem on my system and I do not know the cause. The screen shot shows the “Categories” edit screen, but the “Categories” menu label does not appear under “Posts” in the menu bar on the left-hand side. The “Screen Options” and “Help” pull-down controls are missing and the “Search Categories” text box and button do not appear; perhaps these were cut off from the image.

The missing menu label suggests a problem in WordPress. There is a test in the code that handles term edit screens that returns “403” if the “show_ui” property is not set for a taxonomy. MLA does not set this property for WordPress taxonomies, but maybe your theme or another plugin is changing it.

Do the “Categories” and “Tags” rows appear in the “Taxonomy Support” section of the Settings/Media Library Assistant General tab? If the “Categories” row in the Taxonomy Support section is missing it is another indication that the “show_ui” property has been changed for that taxonomy.

If the Categories row does appear, is the “Support” column checkbox checked or unchecked for these taxonomies? If it is, try unchecking it and see if that solves the problem. When the box is unchecked MLA ignores the taxonomy completely.

If the “Support” box is checked you should see a “Categories” submenu label under the Media menu entry; is it there? If so, try editing the categories by selecting the Media/Categories submenu screen. Does that work?

Thank you for your patience with these questions. As I said, I am trying to understand what is happening on your site so I can reproduce the problem.
