Hi, is it possible for it to be scaled but the file name to be the same? As I am facing issues with the database in the csv file (xyz.jpg) not matching the images uploaded to the gallery as the images in the gallery file name is xyz-scaled.jpg. I have not published the website yet. However, the images can be viewed in the dropbox link.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • There is this new feature in WordPress 5.3 that allows users to upload big image file (threshold being either width or height of 2560px) and the core will scale it down.

I suppose the problem you are facing is with the WP All Import plugin, I suggest reporting this issue to the plugin author so that he/she could update the plugin to recognize the new scaled down image file name.

Meanwhile there is a workaround, we can disable the new scale down big image feature with just one line of code, see detail in this link below.

also there is a plugin to do just that

    Got it. Thank you.

    Hello,
Just a simple question, say I currently want to get on with the big image scaled down feature, I am afraid I have to as I have no idea how to implement the work around or to change the threshold filter size or install scripts; but why is my EXIF data removed from all my scaled pictures??? Is there a simple way to show my EXIF data still under my scaled down foto’s? Any help/information/tip’s are welcome.
    Kind regards, Fred
