Support » Fixing WordPress » Media gallery empty after update

  • I just updated to the latest version, and now my media library is empty. I have deactivated the one plugin that was active (Hello Dolly) and tried activating the 2011 theme.

I noticed that the image icons are missing from the tinyMCE toolbar as well (possibly an unrelated issue). I have checked the database, and the paths to the images seem correct, and the images are still in the correct upload folders.

Images that I have on pages are showing up properly, however images in the [gallery] calls are not showing up. When I click on the media library from the dash board, nothing is displayed.

Are there any thoughts on why this is happening?

    many thanks.

  • Is the Media Library listing the attachments just not showing the images, or is it not listing anything at all and the counters are showing zero?

Nothing is being listed in the Media Library at all. However, when I uploaded images today, the images did populate the Media Library and the [gallery] displayed the new images just fine.

So, it is only an issue with images that were uploaded previously (sometime last year).

    Thanks for your assistance.
