    I want to be able to add an image to a gallery
   and place it on the page.

 * The Media button allows you to add images to your WordPress site. You can add
   them directly to a page as an individual image or a gallery. There are also a
   number of plugins that will work for you. I suggest you take a read [here](http://chrislema.com/nextgen-gallery-envira/)
   to learn about Gallery plugins.
 * I’m not going to give you a full rundown of how to use the media button, instead
   I am going to point you at a few helpful sites/services.
 * 1. wp101.com for awesome videos to help you learn WordPress
    2. The [SIDEKICK for WordPress plugin](http://wordpress.org/plugins/sidekick)
   will guide you through how to complete tasks and what different buttons do, right
   inside your dashboard.
