    Hello,
I love MLA. It’s so helpful with organizing my art gallery page. Recently the “assistant” bulk editor has been opening in a blank page. Can you help with resolving this issue? I apologize if this has been addressed in another thread, I couldn’t find it anywhere.

Thank you for your efforts in creating such a helpful plugin.

    John

Thanks for the positive feedback and for your report. I regret the trouble you’re having with the Media/Assistant bulk editor.

The most common cause of “blank screen” problems is a lack of memory for WordPress plugins and themes. You can find more information and suggestions for resolution in these earlier topics:

    Can’t access mla-menu page

MLA stopped working after installing Themeco X theme

plugin setting page is blank with WP 4.4

If the above topics do not give you a solution, any additional details you can supply will be helpful. I am not sure what you mean by “bulk editor has been opening in a blank page“. Are you referring to the Bulk Edit area on the Media/Assistant admin submenu? When you say “blank page” do you mean that the Buk Edit area is blank, or is the entire submenu table area blank?

    Hi David,
The blank screen was occurring when I go to dashboard>media>assistant. It is where I have been bulk editing media information.

I have since deleted and reinstalled the plugin and am now gettting:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 2097152 bytes) in /home/steff169/public_html/www.steffichfineart.ca/build/wp-includes/taxonomy.php on line 837

I appreciate your time and effort.

Thanks for your update with the additional information. It certainly looks like the combination of your theme and all the plugins you’re using is exceeding the memory allocated to WordPress. The line of code indicated by the error message is trying to allocate memory for a new taxonomy term object. MLA uses that function in three places.

Are you using the WPML multi-language plugin?

I suggest you follow the instructions in the “Increasing memory allocated to PHP” section of this page to see if it helps:

    Editing wp-config.php

If increasing the memory helps, anything you can tell me about the plugins and taxonomies on your site would be helpful. In particular, any changes you’ve made just before the problem started. Thanks for your patience and your help.

    Hi again,
Not having much luck…The bulk edit is the best feature.

If you are still having problems, you should also go to the Settings/Media Library Assistant General tab and go to the “Where-used database access tuning” section. Make sure all four of the reporting options are set to “Disabled”. That has been the default setting for a while but if you have been using MLA for a long time your settings may be different.

It has been several weeks since my last post in this topic. I assume you have found a solution to your problems.

I am marking this topic resolved, but please update it if you have any new information on the topic and I can give you further help. Thanks for your interest in the plugin.
