Medatag Sidebar – Removal help

I just installed WordPress 2.5.6 Fresh Install. I have installed WordPress before and haven’t any issues with the sidebar and removing links/metatags and other items that come with the theme or a new install. I have looked for answer but havent found any.

I just installed the new version and tried several different themes but I can not remove the widgets from the sidebar. There is a meta tag, achieves and categories that need to be removed. I tried going into the widget section and removing from the sidebar or remove from active but they will not remove. The Side Bars show up as empty but when I view the site its still there. The is think to the site.
