Today I installed NinjaFirewall on 6 websites that are hosted on MDDHosting. No problems or errors during installation for 5 sites. Creating of the lines of code in the htaccess file and creating the php.ini including the lines were all without any problems. All Firewall logs have input, with or without debugging on.

MDDHosting says it doesn’t support php.ini, but does it mean that even I see all the stats the plugin isn’t working?

Is there a way to test it?

On the last website I wanted to install Ninjafirewall I could get passed the first step of the System Configuration. When I pressed the Next Step button, it just got back to the same page without saving anything. I also could choose ‘Apache + PHP5 module’ because it was in the loop back. I got the error that it couldn’t write to php.ini (or couldn’t connect to php.ini)
I noticed that no lines were written in the htaccess and no php.ini was created, so I put it there myself, including the lines that suppose to be there. I also put them in the htaccess. I didn’t create a backup of the htaccess.
And after that I could continue with the plugin configuration like I did with the other websites. Big mystery to me.

Still don’t know if it’s really working on MDDHosting and would love to test it.
