MC4WP shows subscribed – MC shows unsubscribed

    Hello,
    Just moved over from MC for Woocommerce to MC4WP and having issues with sign-ups now.
    It was working with MC4WC w/o any issues.

    What I did till now:
    Connected site with MC (script in page header)
    Deactivated MC4WC
    Installed MC4WP
    Applied MC API key -> Connected
    Setup a form (you’ll find it here: Kontakt -> Ihre Benutzerdaten)
    Use DOI

    When I do a test sign-up I’ll get the success message of the form.
    Also the log file shows that:

    But no verification email shows up for the subscriber. Also the count of contacts doesn’t grow.
    Then I was searching at MC and found the activity page, which shows me that:
    https://schweighofer.pro/share/wp_01.jpg

    No idea how to fix that. Hope you can guide me to solve this issue.

    Which version of MailChimp for WordPress you’re on: 4.7.8
    WordPress & PHP version: 5.4.2 & 7.3.19

    The message in the log indicates that the email was send to MailChimp successfully. From there it’s out of our hands, it’s MailChimp.com that sends the opt-in email, if double opt-in is turned on. If that email doesn’t arrive I recommend to contact MailChimp support about that.

    By the way, you don’t need to MC script on your site when using our forms, but it shouldn’t break anything if you have it.

    Do you have Double opt-in turned on or off, under MailChimp for WP > Form > Settings?

    Yes, DOI is turned on in form settings.
    So I need to reach out to MailChimp then, right?

    As a test, can you see if subscribing works when you turn off double opt-in?

    Yes, I think it’s worth contacting MailChimp support and ask them to help you make sure the Opt-in email is send out.

    Sry for late reply, tried to set DOI off but nothing changed.
    Still waiting for MailChimps answer to my ticket.

    And you do see the message in the log that the subscriber is send to MailChimp? No error?

    maybe triple check if the plugin is connected to the correct MailChimp account and if the form is set to connect to the correct list.
