    Hey,

I’m pulling my hair out here … since I have activated the MC for WP plugin, the form sends nothing to MC. Prior to that I was able to send some stuff.

I’ve followed all of the instructions to a T and yet the form doesn’t subscribe anything to Mailchimp. I’ve tried every option I can think of, even resorting to upper/lower case text for the field names.

    Any ideas ?

    form here

    Hi,

Did you activate CF7 integration in the plugin settings? Could you send us a screenshot of those settings?
Do you see any message on the Other page of the plugin settings?

    Hi Lap,

    Yes .. did all that.
Here are 2 screenshots of the mc4wp pages.

I have had this plugin working on another site … but no idea what’s going on here … maybe a plugin conflict?

Sorry, missed the OTHER page comment until just now.

[2016-09-01 10:43:06] ERROR: Contact Form 7 > MailChimp API Error: Your merge fields were invalid.

I am confused by this, as I had this working just fine with all these same merge fields on another plugin just before I found mc4wp.

    Hi,

Please make sure that all the fields that have mc4wp-** in front of it actually exists with that exact merge tag.

If you use a field of the type “address” I suggest to delete that and instead just make normal text fields for the address information as MailChimp is very strict on Address type fields. Else everything (including state and country etc) has to be filled.

If above information does not solve your problem, please send me a screenshot of the CF7 form settings page EMAIL tab (as it shows all the field names on top there) and a screenshot of the merge tags that you can see in the MailChimp for WP settings if you click on the list name on the main page of the plugin’s settings.

    Hope that helps!

    Hi Lap,

Thanks. You mean the fields in my cf7 form should be mc4wp-FNAME ?
This is what i have got, however you do bring up a valid point in that I think I may have used the ‘address’ format and not ‘text’ format for my Address.

Which I now changed and retried – still nothing.

Have uploaded two more photos – same link.

Can you test to see if it works when you remove the RPASDATE from the form?

If that solves the issue it is probably about a difference in date format between CF7 and MailChimp.

Removed RPASDATE but same problem … still not talking to MC.

I even changed the format of the RPASDATE to just text and repeated the process … still no joy.

Maybe I need to go back to another plugin ?

    ???

    Nothing ?

So … does that mean when it gets a little hard you just give up?

It is very frustrating when I am trying to work through an issue with your plugin and you don’t feel it is worthwhile responding anymore … Not a good reputation builder.

    Hello @skoochgroup,

We would request your patience as this is a free plugin and we provide support first to our paying customers who allow us to continue development of the plugin. Commenting the way you did not would help get support any faster.

Getting back to the support question, if you are still using our plugin and want us to assist, then to debug the issue we would need to test your plugin settings. Can you please email us at “support @m4wp.com” so we can get further details from you?

    Hello @hchouhan,

Requesting my patience is fine … but your support team actually need to do that … not just disappear.
What sort of response do you expect from a user who is having issues with your plugin – paid or otherwise?

I get that your paid customers have priority over support time – and if this plugin actually works for me then I would probably become one of those – but seriously … all it would have taken was a polite comment that paid support has priority …and you would respond as soon as you could.

I was trying to resolve these issues and had done everything that Lap had suggested right up until s/he disappeared. It is not unreasonable to ask why the support had disappeared?

I will email you to see if these issues can be resolved, as requested.

Please also note, that the last two plugins I requested support for regarding issues found two bugs that the developers had not known about … so I see this process as a two-way street.
