 * In phpMyAdmin, my screen displays the following message:
 * “The mbstring PHP extension was not found and you seem to be using a multibyte
charset. Without the mbstring extension phpMyAdmin is unable to split strings
correctly and it may result in unexpected results.”
 * I’m having a multitude of “complications” –but dont’ know if this is related
to any of them. How would I know if this “needs fixing”? And if it does, how
do I get smart about getting it done? Thanks.

 * What is your charset (collation) setting for your mysql database? When you look
with phpmyadmin it should be on the main screen (1st one) sort of to the bottom
   right (usually?).
