I created this new account with the email where I was already receiving things from wordpress.org about my site geekneeds4u .com. I have emails to prove it’s my account. but two major things scare me here.

    1. When going to my site, http://www.geekneeds4u.com I get “This site is experiencing Technical difficulties” also get this when going to my dashboard… why wouldn’t I be able to get into my dashboard, ever?

    2. I created a new account with my already existing account login, meaning it has changed or disappeared.

They have my email because I still receive them, but when I tried to recover my password, it told me the email is not on file.

I did receive a recovery email from wordpress.org but I cannot even access it through that link, I get the same error message. I am fearing a hacked account and need some way to speak with someone at the actual wordpress.org HQ without being scammed, I pay them for this, but all I can find is scammers posting fake numbers that lead who knows where.

    Anything helps, thank you.

    Hallo there 🙂

WordPress.org provides free software that helps people build websites.
It does not host your website and no one here can access your site, or restore your access to your site.

You need to access your hosting panel.
Then you need to use PhpMyAdmin (or your host’s equivalent of that) and check the prefix_users table (the prefix is often wp_, but not always).
You should check if your username still exists and you should check the e-mail address.
If there are any users that are unknown to you, that is a strong indication that your site was hacked.

You may also want to disable all of your plugins.
You can do that by changing the name of the plugins folder under the wp-content folder via File Manager (or your host’s equivalent on their hosting panel).
That will often allow you to regain access to your site, if it is indeed a technical issue, instead of a hack.

    All the best.

Sorry for my original anxious blast!

You combined with another post I read, are a lifesaver. I did google it as well and found another post stating they received the same email stating which plugin failed, which made me think about my email which I re-read and found the plugin causing the issue. I was able to navigate to the ‘plugins’ folder in ‘File Manager’ and delete that plugin and all seems well. I did also verify that I am the only user on my account. Though, it boggles me that creating a WP account, doesn’t create a WP login for support…

For those new to this who break their shit too, explore your hosting site, you have all access to your files there, everything you do through your chosen platform edits the files and folders on your hosting profile’s site. I overlooked this base knowledge, which caused more trouble than was needed.

    Thanks!
