# MaxMind GeoLite2 Installation Error

 * When I try to add the API Key to enable MaxMind GeoLite2 in WooCommerce I get
   this error:
 * > Extraction from phar “/membri/.dummy/temp/geoip_download-UorUy4.tmp” failed:
   > Cannot extract “GeoLite2-Country_20210831/GeoLite2-Country.mmdb” to “/membri/.
   > dummy/temp/GeoLite2-Country_20210831/GeoLite2-Country.mmdb”, setting file permissions
   > failed
 * This is because my hosting provider doesn’t allow me to access this path. Where
   can I change it? It’s not the database location, it looks like it’s a path for
   temp files extraction that is done during the download/installation of the database.

 * It sounds like there is an error when downloading and extracting the GeoIP database.
   You’ll want to reach out to your host for further assistance with this issue.
 * Alternatively, you can [manually download the database](https://wp-statistics.com/2017/05/26/the-geoip-database-isnt-downloading/)
   and save it to the respective file path or, if it’s not working, [change the Maxmind geolocation database path](http://rynaldo.com/change-the-maxmind-geolocation-database-path-in-woocommerce-3-9/).
