Same problem here, but with a page. We have a long list of phrases. WordPress saves the list in the editor without problems, but it doesnt get displayed on the website. When we decrease the number of lines, it works fine.
Is there a maximum length for wordpress posts/pages?
And is there another way to post long pieces of text?
I noticed this while importing old Movable Type posts:
1. The original post got into the weblog.
2. I re-assigned new Categories to the post
3. I get the following error message:
“Forbidden. You don’t have permission to access /log/wp-admin/post.php on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. “
If I make the post shorter, I don’t have this problem 🙁
Nevermind. This is really really strange but for some reason the word “selection” in my post was giving me that error message. I tried to paste the post paragraph by paragraph and eventually got it down to a word (? or sequence of words?). “Selection” seemed to be the problem… I’m still trying to figure out why this would be the case….
Somehow, it is probably related to mod_security (SELECT?)
exactly the same problem here as elhada. Using WP 2.3.
Was anybody able to solve this?
Thanks
*** never mind double post, see message hereunder ***
Here also the same problem with a large text. I uploaded a zip file, containing the html i want to insert on a page (language=dutch) so that you can test with a new page…
Can we soon expect a bug-fix on this one? When I insert it directly in the database, there is no limit on the number of characters, but the special characters like é,è,ñ,à appear like “?”
