    LOVE Maxbuttons- thank you!
I am trying to put a button into my header on the Tesseract WordPress theme. the following code for a button will work, but the button is not a Maxbutton, and I want the link to open in a new page as the Maxbutton allows. So the following works and puts a green button in the header:
    DONATE!

My Maxbutton “6” is formatted to open the Donate page as a separate page, but I cannot find how to put it in the header. If I type [maxbutton id=”6″] in the Button Code box in the Customize Header section, all I get is that text in the header.
I am a total tyro but I am determined!
Thanks to any and all that will help!

    Hi,

What are you exactly editing in the theme, the theme files itself or there is some theme editor for this? Please describe where you are making changes.

there is a theme editor. I go to ‘Customize Header’, then “Right Block Content”, select the radio button for ‘Buttons” and there is a box entitled ‘Button Code’. I can type in an href to direct the button, and I can type in class= to describe a generic button, but want to add a MaxButton instead. If I type in the short code ([Maxbutton id=”6″]),,, all that happens is that the short code shows in the header.

That’s probably some different button that comes with the theme.

You should ask at their support if you can show shortcodes (and how) inside those items or how to get shortcodes into the header otherwise.

Many thanks. I will follow up with the originator of the theme.
