Max number of usermeta

Each user I have will have about 50 additional meta keys which have short strings as values.

Now, I’m trying to get away from using a custom table.

I anticipate a Maximum of 4000-5000 users with time.

Will 50 meta entries be too much for that table to handle? It would be nice be be able to keep the wp functions working.

Another option would be to serialize the extra fields and store them in 1 meta key. but not ideal.

Suggestions?
